Interactive workshops in nine local primary schools
The Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra is continuing its education outreach programme with interactive music workshops in nine local primary schools in the New Year.
With the focus on Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherezade, an open rehearsal for schoolchildren will take place at Brighton Dome on the morning of Sunday 14 February 2016 to which we will be inviting all those who take part in our workshops, as well as those who came to the open rehearsal in March. Free tickets for children who attend the rehearsal are available for the afternoon’s concert with discounted rates for best available seats for accompanying adults. The Valentine’s Day programme features pianist Melvyn Tan playing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 and also includes Mascagni’s Intermezzo (from Cavalleria Rusticana).
