On 1 February 2016 music leaders from the city’s primary, secondary and special schools, Music & Arts and SoundCity partner organisations will come together for the fifth annual Joint Practice Development Day for Music Education. This popular event is always well-attended and looks set to be an exciting and informative day once again.
Laura Gander-Howe, Director, Children, Young People and Learning from Arts Council England will bring a national perspective on music education before delegates spend time working on local developments, including Our Future City. In the afternoon a diverse programme of workshops focused on current hot topics in music education will be delivered by SoundCity partners and guest speakers.
