Save the Date - Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra's Open Rehearsal for Schoolchildren


BPO are pleased to announce that the next open rehearsal for schoolchildren will take place on Sunday 5 March 2017 at Brighton Dome Concert Hall. In workshops leading up to the rehearsal, there will a be focus on George Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody No.1, a wonderful piece of music inspired by the vivid folk tunes of the composer's home country. They are delighted that the conductor will be Cristian Mandeal, a fellow Romanian and acknowledged authority on Enescu's music. The afternoon concert which follows the rehearsal will also include Eric Korngold's Violin Concerto played by world-famous violinist Chloë Hanslip, and Sir Edward Elgar's Symphony No.1.
