Belongings
A world premiere Glyndebourne Youth Opera production
Saturday 11 November (Public performance, booking opens Thursday 1 June)
Exploring the experiences of young people forced by war to flee their homes, Belongings, a newly commissioned opera by Lewis Murphy (Glyndebourne’s Young Composer-in- Residence) tracks the journeys of two groups of young people, divided by decades but united by the geographical displacement they experience: a group of evacuees escaping the Blitz, and in the present day, a group of refugee children..
This performance is suitable for adults and young people aged 9 and above, lasts approximately 60 minutes and does not include an interval.
