Still time to join Music Centre Groups, Bands and Orchestras for September

Brighton & Hove Music & Arts offers a range of group music-making activities for children and young people throughout the year. With over 20 different activities, everyone can take part in Saturday morning or weeknight activities and exciting performance opportunities throughout the year.

For singers and instrumentalists who attend the Music Centre performances in the past year have taken place at venues including Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, up the i360, as part of Brighton Festival, St Bartholomew’s Church and further afield at venues in London, Birmingham, Poland and the Czech Republic!

Joining a music group is a great way to sustain motivation across the year. It also helps young musicians to meet others, and to develop skills in sight-reading, listening and ensemble playing that help support their musical progress. Subsidies are available for families on low incomes.

For most Music Centre Groups, you simply need to apply online. For more information and to register in time to start in September, please visit: bhma.org.uk/music-groups

For some Orchestras and City Ensembles there may be an audition requirement. Please find further information here: bhma.org.uk/auditions.

Please get in touch with BHMA if you have any questions or would like to discuss the audition process on 01273 261565 or bhma@brightondome.org.
