Furthering Talent for young musicians

Young children taking part in music workshop

Following exciting Music tech and Rap workshops with AudioActive in the summer term, students on Awards for Young Musicians and BHMA’s Furthering Talent programme will next be exploring an entirely different musical world for their autumn term ‘Get Together’ event. For these termly events students are invited to experience music in a wide range of settings and from an array of genres. This term they will be discovering Opera!

On 25th October, 60 students from Fairlight Primary and St John the Baptist school will be attending a performance of L'elisir d'amore at Glyndebourne. In addition, Glyndebourne kindly deliver an additional Opera workshop in each school on 9th October. We are extremely grateful for such a generous offer and an amazing opportunity for the students to continue exploring music in all its forms!

Previous Get Togethers have included Samba and Body Percussion workshops with the previous cohort of students performing at Awards for Young Musicians 20th Anniversary concert at Wiltons Music Hall in London.
