Over 300 young singers perform new work celebrating Rugby

As part of the Pitch Perfect Festival during the opening weekend of Rugby World Cup 2015, SoundCity is running a music performance stage in Brighton’s New Road.

 

300 young singers from Brighton & Hove schools, together with local composer James Redwood, have composed a new piece which will be given its first performance as part of a day of youth and community music making featuring musicians and bands from across the City.

 

 

Acts performing will include Unified Rhythm, Shannon Dixon, The Wildest Way, Brighton & Hove Youth Percussion Ensemble, Alternate Function, 'Shining Brighter': Brighton & Hove Schools Rugby World Cup Massed Choirs, Drive Up Jazz, Daniel Wakeford, Beat Express and Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band.  Brighton & Hove Youth Percussion Ensemble and Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band. Live music can be heard in New Road from 12.15 – 6.15pm on Sunday 20 September.

 

Performances start on the stage in New Road at 12.15 and will continue until 6.15pm.
