Brighton students perform at The Place, Sat 2 Aug

Our most advanced dance students (members of our satellite Centres for Advanced Training) will perform in the summer showcase at The Place, the UK’s premiere centre for dance.

The sixth Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) satellite course will finish on Saturday 2 August with a trip up to London to the renowned contemporary dance establishment, The Place.

The Brighton satellite students will join other satellite students from Eastleigh and Stevenage to perform alongside the year round London CAT students,  Their dance piece is choreographed by Carrie Whitaker from Lila Dance Company, with music by Doug Evans.

The Brighton course this year has been packed with workshops, theatre trips and a collaboration with Lila Dance Company and the Eastleigh satellite students.  9 students from the course have also undertaken extra work to complete their Bronze Arts Award and plan to submit their completed portfolios by September.

Auditions for the next Brighton CAT Satellite will take place in December 2014
