SoundCity:Speaks

If you are, or you know, a young person who wants to have a say about music activities available in Brighton and Hove, SoundCity:Speaks is for you. And it’s easier than ever before, with our new online platform.

Young people can give feedback, share thoughts and ideas, and talk to other young musicians on the SoundCity:Speaks online platform. It’s easy to join, and it’s safe too, as it’s hosted on a platform for young people called Edmodo. To join:

1. First you need our group code. To request the code please ask your parent/carer to email soundcity@brighton-hove.gov.uk telling us your full name, school or college and/or music activities that you take part in with SoundCity.

2. Once you have our group code, go to the SoundCity:Speaks webpage on the SoundCity website.

3. Follow the link to Edmodo and select the ‘I’m a Student’ button.

4. Complete the registration form, using our group code and choosing your own username and password.

5. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button to complete the process. Once we have verified your application, SoundCity: Speaks will show in your Groups panel.
