Summer School 2014: fantastic opportunities to make music and perform

Fancy learning to make and perform music, or developing your skills? Whatever you’re into - from music technology and animation to folk, musical theatre, pop, rock or classical – we have a summer school course for you!

By working with our team of highly-trained and friendly music leaders in the informal setting provided by Summer School, children and young people have the chance to develop new skills and share their musical progress, with every course culminating in a celebration performance.

Here’s what some of the young musicians who took part last year had to say:“I made friends and improved my cello skills.” Jason“I loved playing Star Wars in the Wind Band.” Sophia“It was fun and I learned a lot.” Riley“The course was cool!” Tamsyn

Courses are available for instrumentalists and singers in years two to nine, with different options depending on your level of experience. Many courses are ‘open access’ and require no previous experience – just sign up and have a go!
