TAKE PART: In KS1/2 and want to Get into Music?
Get into Music is the Music & Arts instrumental recruitment programme.
During the summer term 1000s of KS1 and KS2 children will experience the thrill of hearing live music in their schools as visiting instrumental teachers perform on their instruments and talk to the children about what’s involved in learning a musical instrument.
Every year approximately 1000 pupils choose to take up an instrument for the first time and with almost 20 instruments to choose from there is something to appeal to everyone’s tastes.
In addition to learning specific instrumental skills, research has shown that there are many educational, social and personal benefits to gain from learning a musical instrument.
The Music & Arts service wants learning to be a positive experience for all but for some this could be the start of a lifelong musical journey - or even the start of a future career.
To find out more go to www.bhma.org.uk/tuition

Further information on the instruments your child can learn will be available at your child’s school.
