Dance: Calling All 11-14 Yr Old Aspiring Dancers

AUDITION

Thursday 11th December 2014 from 4.30pm

The Corn Exchange, Brighton

Brighton & Hove Music & Arts are delighted to be working once again with the UK’s premier centre for contemporary dance, The Place, in hosting a unique intensive training programme in partnership with their CAT scheme.  The scheme provides young people aged 11 – 14 the opportunity to develop their potential in dance.

Over the spring and summer terms successful candidates will take part in:

  • Weekly contemporary dance training

  • Taster day to The Place, London

  • Performances in Eastleigh & London

  • Collaboration with the Hampshire CAT satellite centre

  • Trips to the theatre

The course will culminate in a fantastic opportunity to create a new dance piece with a professional choreographer which will be performed at The Place in London in their annual summer show.

Previous formal training isn’t a necessity but enthusiasm, commitment and a passion for dance is essential!

Audition is by application only.

Please contact Sally English for more information on sally.english@brighton-hove.gov.uk or Tel: 01273 293854

Supported by The Place CAT through the Department for Education, Music and Dance Scheme.
