Encore launch raises over £1,500
Encore was launched on 26 April with a wonderful recital by concert guitarist, ex BYO member and encore ambassador Richard Durrant performing with the String Ensemble in a private house in Hove. Over £1,500 was raised in donations at the event which is a great start to encore's fundraising campaign. Funds raised will be used to help purchase new instruments, develop new talent through masterclasses and education programmes and help ensure that no young musician is prevented from participating due to financial circumstances via the BYO hardship fund. The recital was the first in a series of smaller intimate recitals in private houses called House Music Classics.
