BHMA musicians play at St Pancras International station to celebrate Wellington’s victory
The Hanover Band invited BHMA advanced musicians to play alongside them to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Wellington’s victory over Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. Thanks to the fabulous acoustics, orchestras could be heard throughout this glorious building from their position next to the Eurostar platforms, delighting commuters and international travellers.
Repertoire included works written at the time, marches and fanfares and the first movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No 5.
